New Microsoft ads, Funny?
kensai — Sat, 09/06/2008 - 11:51
Microsoft is paying Jerry Seinfeld some millions to do their commercials, in the hope to a better Windows Vista promotion. The problem is Jerry Seinfeld was good in his days, but now, he is hardly as good as he was (for the record I still like and watch his show). This kind of strategies show us how desperate is the situation at Microsoft, I mean, Linux amounts to more than 13% of the servers market.

Google's Chrome, Interesting Features
kensai — Tue, 09/02/2008 - 09:47
Google announced yesterday that they will enter the Internet browsers market, and typical of Google, in the pursue of building hype the announcement was made into a comic book which is available here.
Is there something special in this browser? Well, some of the things that make it special at least in my case, are:
- Built from scratch, thinking of the latest trends and user navigation habits on the net.

My Apologies, Arch Linux Community
kensai — Fri, 05/23/2008 - 11:08
Well, I'm going to talk about the locked thread in the Arch Linux forums, which got locked because of me. I have to say, one needs to live by his own rules and never break them, that's what happened to me, I went on talking about immaturity and all of a sudden in my latest post on that forum thread I just showed nothing more but immaturity. Well, maybe I was blinded by the personal attacks I received by the poster of the article referenced on that thread.

My First Video Upload to YouTube
kensai — Thu, 05/15/2008 - 18:37
I have just uploaded a video to YouTube, today. It really isn't that great, is just me playing neverball on Arch Linux, and I just even am not that good at it, you will notice, believe me. But what makes me feel proud is that all is done with Linux tools and on Arch Linux. I will keep playing and learning more of the tools that I used to make this video and then encode it on a size and format that would be easier to upload to YouTube.

Well, once again, the web log was off line for most of the day because it was being upgraded to the latest version of Drupal 6.x series. I hope you didn't had any inconvenience because of this, sorry and thanks for your patience. Again the update was just a security update, but introduces some performance enhancements. Lets hope this all works out well.

I'm not Open Sourced Anymore.
kensai — Sun, 04/06/2008 - 17:20
Don't get your hopes too high proprietary software makers, I am not moving from Linux. I just am not open sourced myself. Yesterday, I took one of the most important decisions of my life, engaging to a beautiful woman. She now owns my license rights and everything of me. So, now I guess I'm patent encumbered!?

Without Internet Connection
kensai — Sat, 03/15/2008 - 20:41
You may have questions as to why I haven't posted to this web log for so long. Well, my ISP (one of the worst in the planet) has left me without Internet connection for some some weeks. I have had Internet access briefly for some minutes, or for a few hours at most in that period of time, but it wasn't enough to make it possible to me to do any serious work on the net. So thats why I haven't had time to release the newsletter in this past week, and haven't been able to do the necessary work to have it released for this next week, so I apologize.

Update to Drupal 6.1
kensai — Mon, 03/03/2008 - 18:09
Well, as you may have noticed, this web log went off the net for some hours. The reason being the imminent update to Drupal 6.1, which introduces some security fixes, and other small enhancements. It is the first time I update the web log myself, thanks Branko Vukelic for trusting me, I could have messed up your server and set it on fire in the process of upgrading everything, but the good news is; I didn't. So, we are back, let me check what's on the list now, the newsletter. Better go back to work. Thanks for your patience, and sorry for the inconvenience.

DRM-Free Music, Better for the Artists?
kensai — Fri, 02/22/2008 - 23:59
I like a band called Blindside, their music is inspiring, their sound and lyrics are unique. In fact, thats what I like in a rock band, originality and quality of lyrics above all. I tend to like European bands more than American bands because their music is, most of the time, unique. Truth needs to be said, a lot of American bands are unique as well. Hey, sorry, I'm breaking apart from my main point here. The point is the excerpt that follows.
