A Call for Contributions...

Hi, as you probably know by now the Arch Linux Newsletter is featuring a new section, it goes by the name of Gaming Arena. Gaming Arena is written with the Linux community in mind, so they know how to get started on open source or Linux available games, that way they don't have to rely on other Operating Systems to satisfy their gaming needs. I do have some other articles that I will contribute to it, and will do in due time, but I want you contributions. Why? Honestly because I am not that good at Planet Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory and I do need to learn more about it, so I can then boast on my skills. :-D

Now, here are the guidelines I would like for you to follow if you are interested in contributing:

  • How do I get and install the game? (If possible explain the yaourt way)
  • How do I get started in the game? (Something I have to know about the gameplay that might help me in my learning?)
  • How do I get maps? Is there a map pack so I don't have to download every map when connecting to the game?
  • Any tips and tricks you would like to share with us?

And that's about it, you can add to those guidelines as you may see fit. The deadline for this article could be as late as June 25, this way it can be included in the next newsletter scheduled for the 1st of July or 7th if a delay should be made, and you know I am an expert at having to delay the newsletter a bit. :-D
